The Client Experience
"Ferrell helped me develop the message I wanted to share and the stories that would resonate with my target audience. Her understanding of the marketplace and tools to help write, memorize and execute an impactful speech are invaluable. Ferrell is like a trusted friend who instantly makes you feel at ease and supported. Through the coaching process, she nurtures and elevates you - resulting in a powerful speech."
"Ferrell helped me with every phase of the hiring process. She helped draw out the very best qualities in me to help me feel amazingly prepared and confident throughout. This was pure gold to me. Had I done it on my own, it would not have had the same result. The magic of her brilliance is in her graceful strategy to help you stand out (in the most positive way) from other candidates all the way from resumes, to interviews and salary discussions. So grateful!"
"The first thing to know about Ferrell is that she is a consummate professional: attentive, detail-oriented, honest, and kind. Her warm personality put me at ease immediately. Over several sessions, she used her acting expertise to transform my wooden delivery into a presentation with power and persuasion. She helped me slow down, feel the impact of my words, and speak my truth with conviction and confidence. I would use her again in a heartbeat and hope to have the opportunity to do so in future."
"Ferrell Marshall provided us with all the coaching tools that we needed to inform and inspire the audience during our 2018 TEDxPasadena talk. With her rigorous coaching, we channeled our nerves into positive energy, confidence in ourselves, and comfort on stage. She was always enthusiastic and encouraging. She was a dynamic listener with a magnificent ear, and taught us to love and express the nuances, humor and power in our talk. We will totally work with her again and happily recommend her to anyone who needs a coach."
"Ferrell is such a ray of sunshine! No matter the stress level or urgency, she has a reassuring smile on her face; a smile that is the real deal. She is perhaps the most genuine and grounded person I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Just being near her brings so much comfort! Ferrell works with the utmost integrity and professionalism, and her talent for helping speakers to memorize their lines is unparalleled. I cannot recommend her highly enough!"
"From the moment Ferrell and I connected, I felt just that ...CONNECTED. She magically and swiftly, organized my thoughts and streamlined my message. As a seasoned speaker/performer, I can get caught up and stuck looking for the perfect way to say what I need to say, and Ferrell's coaching approach got me out of my own head, and out of my own way. I now consider Ferrell Marshall, my 'word whisperer.'"
"I worked with Ferrell in preparation for my TEDxPasadena Talk, one of the most challenging and fulfilling experiences of my life, and I'm so glad I had her as my coach! From day one, she took the time to get to know me better and my goals for this event. Something that had me petrified was that I had to memorize my talk and I had never memorized even a phrase in my life! I'm used to public speaking, interviewing in front and behind the camera as a tv host/journalist for Spanish speaking networks but would use a teleprompter or headset aid when on air. Ferrell encouraged me to use breathing techniques to navigate the roadmap we created, soaking the spirit of the story in my mind, rather than the words. This tool remains with me as a treasure, because I feel that now it is so much easier to write and memorize presentations by using emotional images of the facts to hit the words than the other way around. I'm looking forward to using all I learned from her on my upcoming YouTube Channel."
"Ferrell has been one of my favorite people to work with in Los Angeles. Although I’m a high-strung person by nature, her calm demeanor and intuitive command of presentation helped bring down the temperature as we prepared several accomplished professionals for the presentation of their lifetimes. She was consistently flexible, relaxed, and on-task in a way that would make her an asset to any organization."
“Ferrell is not only incredible with words but also presentation. Having a hearing loss makes public speaking difficult for me, but Ferrell was patient and helped me strengthen my speech. Through her dedication, I significantly improved my stage presence and pronunciation. I am grateful for her encouragement and friendship through the hard stuff.”
“While preparing for my TEDx Talk, Ferrell was my go-to coach for style and impact. She helped me find ways to use the content as the mnemonic for memorization and even on the day of the event, I hunted her down to get feedback on how to deliver a particular line. i was very grateful that she was part of the process, and the talk itself was a big success."
"I had the incredible good fortune to be coached by Ferrell Marshall for a high-profile public speaking opportunity and was struck, from the first time I met her, by her generosity, razor-sharp insight, spot-on instincts, exceptional intellect and warmth. She not only helped sculpt my speech without taking any of my own voice out of it, she prompted me to speak with a new kind of confidence and performative precision. Ferrell is the rare person who delivers constructive criticism that feels just that—constructive. My gratitude for what she taught me is boundless. I cannot recommend her more highly."
"I had the absolute privilege of working alongside Ferrell in preparation of my TEDx talk. During every single practice session—of which there were many—Ferrell was consistently supportive, articulate, and insightful. While some have an understanding of syntax and dialect, fewer have an additional appreciation for story, and fewer still have the ability to convey those complexities with kindness and warmth. Ferrell is one of those special outliers. Without her, my experience in both rehearsal and performance would not have been what they were."
