HONORING YOUR STORY

Hi I'm Ferrell Marshall!

I am a presentation coach, resume writer, storyteller, and your biggest cheerleader when it comes to stepping into life’s big (and everyday) moments feeling prepared, grounded, and truly yourself.

I launched Spotlight Coaching in 2018 with a simple belief: everyone has a story worth telling. Helping people share theirs in a way that feels natural, exciting, and aligned is what lights me up.

Whether I’m collaborating with a client on their resume, prepping them for an interview, or crafting a standout keynote, my goal is the same: to help them feel seen, supported, and ready.

Over two decades at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) shaped much of my professional journey. I became the marketing leader for Southern California, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, and led alumni and community relations across the region.

Early in my tenure, I was an HR Manager, shaping employee experiences.  I’ve also partnered with Talent Distinctions as an HR consultant, recruiter, and trainer and took on the role of Vice President of Major Gifts at United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

For 15 years, I was proud to serve on the board of directors for L.A. Works, championing volunteerism as a powerful tool for civic engagement.

A lifelong creative, I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Joe Blasco School of Makeup, and have worked as an award-winning actor, voiceover artist, painter, and writer, earning national recognition for my work in career storytelling.

To support others at the highest level, I’ve pursued extensive training in the art and science of communication. I’m a certified coach through the Virtual Coach program with Eben Pagan, hold a certification from IDEO U in Storytelling for Influence, and completed Mindvalley's Speaking & Influence Mastery program.

Over the years, my two worlds, creative and corporate, collided when I realized that everything I love and everything I’m good at pointed in one direction: helping others find their voice, own their story, and show up fully as themselves. Thus, Spotlight Coaching was born from that clarity.

While it’s my personal venture, I occasionally collaborate with a trusted circle of creatives and specialists to ensure clients receive thoughtful, high-quality support across every touchpoint, from story to stage.

After a full and wonderful chapter in California, I now call the Nashville area home, where the skies are big, the hospitality is real, and the humidity turns my hair into a curly frizz bomb. It’s all part of the charm.  Somewhere along the way, I became the happy guardian of four cats! Four! No one is more surprised than me.

In 2025, I published Birdwatching Bliss: How Feathered Friends Can Lift Your Spirit, Calm Your Mind, and Keep You Entertained, a joyful little book about slowing down, looking up, and finding delight in unexpected places.

If you’re ready for your next chapter or just want someone in your corner who can help you shape and present your story with clarity and heart, I’d love to work with you!
